Ad management software can automate execution, consolidate reporting or measure customer journeys. This Japan-focused comparison covers ten options, including retail-media software. It is organized by purpose, not a performance ranking. International buyers should verify interface language, local support, contract availability and platform coverage before shortlisting Japan-oriented products.
Official product and pricing information reviewed September 25, 2026. Capabilities vary by edition and platform. Product names link to vendor sources; Japanese quotes should not be treated as global offers.
Separate four different jobs
Job | Selection question |
|---|---|
Execution | Must the tool change bids or delivery settings? |
Reporting | Must it collect and export platform data? |
Measurement | Must it track paths and connect outcomes? |
Budget governance | Must it manage non-media costs and approvals? |
Ten tools compared
Product and source | Primary use | What to evaluate |
|---|---|---|
1. Shirofune | Ad operations automation | Supported platforms, controls and minimum fee |
2. Perpetua | Retail media optimization | Markets, marketplaces and managed spend |
3. glu | Advertising data and reporting | Required aggregation, output and setup support |
4. Databeat | Advertising data collection | Connectors, destinations and maintenance |
5. Lisket | Reporting and budget monitoring | Platform coverage and account limits |
6. ATOM | Advertising reporting and operations | Templates, permissions and extra charges |
Automated advertising reports | Quote based on base fee and account count | |
8. Roboma | Advertising data integration | Measurement-data integration and outputs |
Advertising measurement | Tracking conditions, outcome rules and setup | |
10. Cascade | Cross-channel attribution | Order matching, tags and attribution rules |
Separate software fees from media spend
Shirofune’s published Japan self-service plan charges 5% of monthly ad spend, excluding tax, with a ¥25,000 minimum; no ad spend means no fee, while spend of ¥5 million or more requires an inquiry. Support plans have separate fees and terms. Compare this with flat-fee products using the same accounts and spend assumptions.
First-year cost includes setup, subscription, connectors or exports and internal implementation time. Evaluate bid automation separately from reporting-time savings. Ask for a quote covering the exact platforms and features rather than filling gaps with assumed prices.
Run a practical pilot
- Retrieve the actual accounts, metrics and dates needed.
- Reconcile spend and outcomes with platform reports and explain discrepancies.
- Test permissions, limits and stopping procedures for automated changes.
- Check user access and separation between client accounts.
- Export usable data and document a handover process.
Connect reporting to budget decisions
Budget governance includes creative, labor and outsourced work as well as media. Review Xtrategy features for project, budget and approval workflows, then assign an owner and cadence for bringing advertising results into the plan.
